Representative Beam Load Check

This public example uses inline notation RA=RBR_A = R_B for a symmetric load case.

For a simply supported span with a central point load PP, the reactions are:

RA=RB=P2 R_A = R_B = \frac{P}{2}

The bending moment at a section xx from the left support is represented by the supported aligned form:

M(x)=RAx=Px2 \begin{aligned} M(x) &= R_A x \\ &= \frac{P x}{2} \end{aligned}

The equations are illustrative only and do not replace project-specific design checks.
